Lucas and Peyton had been through a lot of previous drama!. When they first met, Lucas was hooked although she was dating Nathan!. By the time that Peyton realized what she could have with Lucas he was already dating her best friend, Brooke!. Lucas and Peyton hooked up (just kissing) behind Brooke's back and planned on telling her until Lucas got into a car accident with his uncle!. Eventually, Brooke did find out and it almost ended Brooke and Peyton's relationship!. However, they mended it and when the school shooting episode aired I think that Lucas and Brooke were dating again!. For Peyton to bring up her feelings again, especially after all the drama that happened the last time, she probably felt as if Lucas would hold it against her!. However!.!.!.she was losing a lot of blood, yada yada!.
