Question: Pushing Daisies!? I heard may be cancelled!?
Pushing Daisies is my favorite show, and on Yahoo today they said it was in trouble due to low ratings!. I will be so sad if its canceled, we got such a short season last year because of the strike!. Why do cool edgy shows sure to be cult classics only last a season or two!?

Oh I hope not cause that is one of my favorite shows and I would be heartbroken if that happens cause i really do like it !. Because some ppl dont like shows that deal with death and they just refuse to watch them!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
The shows you mention, including Pushing Daisies, are all just a little too "edgy" for their own good!. Twin Peaks was very edgy, but went too many episodes without anything actually, you know, happening!. People have short attention spans and tend to get bored!.
Freaks and Geeks, same problem - it was "slice of life" comedy and not much happened on each episode!. It was entertaining if you were a geek (or freak) in high school, but that's the point - it appealed only to a small minority!.
There are plenty of cool, edgy shows that last(ed) - Lost, Heroes, 24, CSI, X-Files - but I guess to meet your definition of "cult classic" they have to be far outside the mainstream!. Go too far, though, and a show won't bring in the ratings!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Pushing Daisies may have had a chance somewhere on cable (but where is the question, cable likes their shows gritty), on network tv PD was always going to average around 5-7 million viewers after the audience sampled it!. In my opinion anyway!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

For the record Pushing Daisies, I saw one episode!.!.!.I threw up in my mouth a little, it sucked @ss!.!.!.!.!.!.It will never be as good as Freaks and Geeks!.!.!.!.and Twin Peaks had only one Good season!.!.!.They had to kill it, and the first season was terrible overrated
