Children's Television from the Nineties?!

Question: Children's Television from the Nineties!?
I am a nineties child through and through!. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Pokemon Card Currency, Cat's Cradle, Putting rubber aliens in the oven!.

I've been through it all!.

The other day, I heard someone say children's tv is much better these days!.

I don't think anything could compare to Pingu, Otis the Aardvark, Fireman Sam, Playdays, the Clangers, Sesame Street, Chucklevision, Come Outside, Noddy, Postman Pat, Word and Pictures, the Wild House (bbc), Funny bones, Noah's Island, the animals of farthing wood, Bagpuss, Tales of Aesop, Jimmy Briggs, the Magic Key, BODGER AND BADGER, Mopatop's Shop, Mr Benn, Lars the Polar Bear, Microscopic Milton, SPOT THE DOG, Brum!.

*heart warms*

Pocyno and the Bobinogs just don't compare!.

And the ones that are still on from my childhood have got worse!. The new Pingu theme tune is sacrilege!.

Although, I still love Arthur the Aardvark!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
I wholeheartedly agree with you!. The 90's was definitely the best decade where children's TV is concerned!. I too am a 90's child through and through and spent many a time in front of the box watching my favourite programmes often aired on CITV and CBBC!. Blue Peter isn't the same anymore and who could forget all those classic faves you mentioned!. Even Fireman Sam has undergone change and I must say, I don't like it!. I had all the videos of Fireman Sam, Noddy, Thomas the Tank Engine, etc and spent every waking moment watching them as well as on TV and loved every minute of it!. Please, please bring them back!. They always used to show Come Outside and Words and Pictures at school and I grew up with Auntie Mabel and Pippin's words of wisdom and information!.!.!.Learnt a lot from them but who can forget the Teletubbies and El Nombre!. Loved them!. Such a happy childhood!. Ah, the good ol' days!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love how you reminisce but what is the question!?

I am actually an 80's child, but I have to agree with you, the children's television was much better then!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

80s and 90s television was way better!. I will buy old tv shows on dvd for my children to watch!. Today's cartoons are really boring!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I miss the shows I used to watch as a child!. I don't think there were 24 hour cartoon channels either!. Saturday morning was the best! Www@Enter-QA@Com
