American football is stupid for many reasons, two that immediately spring to mind:-

Well it may be 'stupid' to you, but to most people with sense it's just 'different!.' This is similar to some people who say the British are majority monolingual and do not want to integrate with the rest of multilingual Europe (or anyone else for that matter)!. It's not necessarily true, imo, just -- different!. Anyway the reason American football is on BBC is the same reason, Rugby is on ESPN here!. We're crossing cultures, it's not that bad, LOL!.
