they do two tapings each day!. One is live and then there's one they tape earlier in front of a live audience!. Its a dress rehearsal and a back up in case anything were to happen live that they cannot air!. I assume thats how they have previews!. They also take past clips and use those to advertise the show!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
When I was little my dad took us to a WWF show!. When we got there I noticed the signs said Saturday night live but the show was on Tuesday!.
The "LIVE" only refers to the fact the the taping is done in front of the audience and mistakes cannot be undone!.
