In 2006, Barr (Brooke's real name) was taken off contract, she was asked to remain with the show on a recurring basis, but she declined the offer!. All My Children has since decided not to recast the role after her departure!. For many years, Brooke had floundered in the background!. Her last major story was her interrupted marriage to Edmund Grey which occurred in 2002!. Despite 30 years of service to All My Children, Barr and Brooke, received no formal farewell!. Brooke went overseas to work for Tempo Magazine,and she was never given a send off, she just went away!.This was only mentioned in passing with Jamie and Tad that she was out of the country! In real life, she was taken off contract and quit instead of being a recurring character!. Can't blame her, she had been with the show for over 20 years and that is how the repay her! I have thought about her many times myself!. I always liked her role & thought she did a great job as an actress!. Seemed like she was always the underdog though!. It;s a shame what the other answer said that they didn't do anything for her when she left!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
