Question: GH: Why is Jerry Jax not in jail!?
I took a breather from the show during the Metro Court hostage story but I do know what happened and that Jerry was Mr!. Craig!. Let me get this straight:
1!. Jerry never spent one day in jail!? Hwo did he get out of that!?
2!. Jax just forgot that his brother held people hostage in his own hotel!?

Alcazar had this mysterious briefcase that held some top secret stuff!. The briefcase was in a vault at the metro court!. Jerry Jacks!.!.!.at that time known as James Craig!.!.!.was hired by to steal the brief case from the vault!. After the metro court disaster Jerry went on the lam and was blackmailing Nik, by poisoning him!. He was introduced to Alexis as Mr!. Bronson, when he was hiding out at Nik!.
Jax was out of the country during this whole thing!. When Jax came back he planned to marry Carly!. Lady Jane was trying to convince Jerry to come for the wedding!. Carly saw James Craig's face, but didn't know it was really Jerry!. Apparently he had some plastic surgery!. When Jax and Carly get back from their honeymoon!. It's revealed that Jerry has been posing as James Craig and Mr!. Bronson!.
It turns out that the reason Jerry did all the metro court crap and was trying to get the brief case was because his girlfriend was killed infront of him (off camera) and the people who killed her had threatened to kill him if the he didnt get the brief case back by "any means necessary"!.
When it was revealed he was granted some sort of ammunity for all his wrong doings!.
Jax briefly didn't want to have anything to do with his brother, but now I guess bygones are bygones!.!.

Jerry's not in jail cuz he's diabolical and he manipulated people into lying to the police for him saying that he's not Mr Craig and of course his brother Jax so loves him and holds him dear and couldn't bear to have his mother find out that Jerry is a ruthless criminal capable of the metrocourt tragedy so he switched dna to mislead the police into thinking that Jerry and Craig are two different persons!.

Jax helped switch DNA so that it would appear Jerry and Mr!.Craig were not the same person!. He did not want to break his moms heart! Lorenzo ALcazar had something in the briefcase in the safe at the MEtro Court, what that was is a mystery bc it exploded when it was opened and whatever it was ruined!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Jerry (aka: James Craig at the time) was trying to rob the Metro Court of a briefcase Alcazar put in the vault!. Jerry was hired to steal it!. Sam hit that little button under the front desk when Jerry and his boys came in, locking the vault for 24 hours so he took the hotel hostage until the vault opened!. He escaped before the cops could get him!. He drugged Nikolas for awhile w/something, and was able to blackmail Robin, Patrick, and Emily b/c if they didn't do what he wanted, he wouldn't give Nik the antidote!. And he finally made Emily sign some bank thingy which made her some kind of accessory, so if anything should happen to him, Emily would be arrested and put in jail (which is what he used to blackmail Jason and Sonny from retaliating)!. Once he outed himself as Jerry Jax, he told everyone he had plastic surgery and just happened to look like James Craig but wasn't!. Nik, Robin, Patrick, Jason and Sonny backed his lie to protect Emily and Carly lied b/c she knew Jax and his mother would be devestated if Jerry went to jail!. Jerry also had the DNA switched at the police station so that he couldn't be linked to James Craig!. Jax forgave Jerry b/c, apparently, Jerry had been kidnapped and terrorized into becoming such a heartless killer!. (Only on a soap, right!?) To give Jax some credit, he was pretty mad at Jerry for awhile and didn't want anything to do w/him!. But Jax is a softie and eventually bought Jerry's sob story and decided to put the past behind them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
