Favorite/Memorable Recurring Characters?!

Question: Favorite/Memorable Recurring Characters!?
These are the characters on tv shows who were not regulars, but tended to come into the scene at a Really bad time or when a one-liner was needed for comic relief!.

Could be from a sitcom or whatever!.!.!.
Pics are always fun :)

Some of mine:

'Rollo' from Sanford & Son

My brother and I enjoyed Lenny when he showed up on Good Times!.!.!. this is the only one I could find, though:

Side note: Why were guys who rhymed so popular in the '70's!?

EDIT: I think you should be Lenny for Halloween! If I was judging a costume contest, I would completely give 1st place to anyone dressed as Lenny!

On rhyming guys in the '70's: Not only rhyming guys, but anyone who had some kind of word-gimmick, even if it wasn't particularly funny, was popular in the '70's!. Like Rich Little; or the guy who stuttered, except when he sang, or this guy:

Back to recurring characters: Sammy Davis Jr!. popped up on a lot of shows as himself, like on "All in the Family", "Chico and the Man", and even a duel role on "Charlie's Angels"!

I love your 70's/ early '80's questions! I was still pretty young at that time time, so my memories of these things seem extra demented, and surreal when I revisit these things as an adult!

(Sorry!.!.!. long, just wanted to get this out!)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Mine would be when John Houseman ("They earrrned it" commercial, Paper Chase) would pop in, totally out of his usual sophisticated characters, as Grandfather, on the comedy "Silver Spoons" He was hilarious!. Worked real well with young Ricky SchroederWww@Enter-QA@Com

Methos just showed up at random times to just be the regular guy, despite being 5000 years old!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
