Question: GH Confusion: Jason and Sonny!?
Someone please expalin why people keep referring to the word "stole" when it comes to Jason taking over the organization!. Didn't Sonny ask him, no practically beg him to do this so he could live a "normal" life!?
And why did Kate throw the word "betrayal" in Jason's face when she is the one that begged Sonny not to get back in the mob in the first place!? She should be thanking Jason for refusing Sonny because she told Sonny she did not want him going after Karpov anyway!. What am I missing here!? Does any of this make sense to anyone!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

You're not missing anything!. Sonny did beg Jason to take over the buisness!. The only thing that pissed Sonny off was that Jason told him, fine, I'll take over the buisness if you give up custody of Michael and Morgan!. That's what got Sonny ticked at Jason!. He felt that Jason took Carly's side and helped Carly keep the boys from him!. But, Sonny was the one who had wanted Jason to take over, regardless of whether he kept the kids or not!.
It's also a control thing w/Sonny!. He's used to telling Jason what to do and having Jason just do it!. Now that Sonny has decided to get back in and Jason isn't giving him back "his" buisness, he feels like he's entitled to have Jason do his bidding!. I think he's more infuriated that Jason is standing up to him than anything else!.
Kate is just being her usual, self-deluded self!. She just wants to lash out b/c she can't make Sonny do what she wants and she'd rather blame other people for Sonny's troubles than admitt Sonny is the one who is making these decisions, b/c that would mean she was a fool for getting w/Sonny in the first place (which everyone told her she was)!. She'd rather believe that if Jason would just help Sonny or if Olivia would just tell Sonny about Dante, then that would make Sonny magically into the person she wants him to be!. She just doesn't get the fact that Sonny loves the mob and he would choose that lifestyle over his own family or the woman he loves!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You're absolutely right! I was wondering the same thing!. Perhaps she was talking about the fact that Jason made Sonny give up both of his sons as a condition for Jason to take over the business!. That is not so much of a betrayal to Sonny as it was trying to protect the boys from further harm!. You're right - Kate should be grateful to Jason for not giving Sonny back the business - also, she should listen to Jason when he tells her Sonny is about to make a huge mistake!. The writers can't stick to their story!. Yes Sonny practically forced Jason to take over the business, he was done, he was through and now he's throwing a tantrum!. Jason didn't steal anything and didn't betray anyone!. Sonny knew he couldn't keep away, so he shouldn't have tried to be something he knows he's not!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Kate is just stupid!. I agree with you about Jason "stealing" Sonny's business!. When Sonny first approached Jason with the idea of him taking over, Jason told him NO!. He did not want to run the organization but Sonny wouldn't take no for an answer and then the situation presented itself for Jason to use Sonny's parental rights in order to make Michael and Morgan safe!. Jason has always done what is right concerning Sonny's kids!. The writers are making Sonny look like an idiot!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Because as part of his mafia don mentality, Sonny expects the world to revolve around him!. It's part of what makes his character such an integral part of the show!. He worked hard to earn that spot, but now he doesn't know what to do without it!. He changes his mind, and expects everyone to bow and scrape out of the way!. Well, Jason told him he would take the business if he gave away his kids( well, the ones who belong to Carly) and that was the only way he would take it, so that could be what she is referring to in that case!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
