Well I am 95% sure Robin is not the mother based on the fact that the Kids recognises her as Aunt Robin and that at the end of season 2 they mentioned all the movement she did while ted remained in the states and most probably started a family!. how ever the other 5% is that last night he showed us tht the conclusion to the story is him telling them the mother at the very end i!.e!. at the wedding which means we might have already been introduced to the mother and just not told it was her which means in that light robin might be the mom!. also the kids wil recognise thier mom's name if he tells them the name so i think that he changed all his girlfriends names thus the robin we see might not actually be the aunt robin but rather aunt robin was used to hide the true ID of the robin we see!.
on him and lilly, remember the episode in which marshal and Lilly baught life insuarence i think, there is a flash forward 20 or 30 years into the future which shows them still married and Lilly telling of Marshal for opening the letter before she was dead, so Lilly - ted aint gonna happen
