Why are some Adult Swim shows only 15 minutes long?!
Question: Why are some Adult Swim shows only 15 minutes long!?
I recently started getting into Adult Swim, I like Robot Chicken, SuperJail!, Metalocalypse, Assy Mcgee, etc!. But why are they only 15 minutes long and not a full half hour!? Has Adult Swim always had this format!? Its kind of annoying because I'll get so into the show then its over so quickly!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Unlike other networks, when it comes to canceled shows, Adult Swim usually leaves the door open for canceled shows to come back, be it on air or in another format!. This is mostly because show creators of an Adult Swim series choose to move on to a new project, and like to leave the option open to return to their former project!. So even if a show is listed under the "canceled" category, thanks to their low budgets and flexible schedules, there's a chance they could return some day!.
It's easier to fit in new shows with returning shows if the runtime is only 15 minutes!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's been like that from the beginning of Adult Swim (Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman et!. al!.) in 1996!. Most of the shows are intentionally produced in the quarter-hour (15 minute) format by design (and the fact that the formats of most of these adult-oriented cartoons wouldn't work as half-hour shows)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
They've always been like that since Adult Swim was around!. Some are 30 mins like Family Guy and stuff but a lot of them are 15!. Idk why they are!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
