Mrs!. Palin is more intelligent than some people gave her credit for!. She is not an intellectual but she have developed many skills as a mother, homemaker, governor, etc!. and she uses them in public!.
Those are traits women have used for centuries to defend themselves in an "all boys club"!. It have been proved on the field of "Gender Studies" at universities both at USA and abroad!.
She displays a woman's discourse and manners typical of a person who feels socially disadvantaged!. Yes, she has theatrical ways but that is part of the trick: so it is easy to satire and mock her!.
