"Rescue Me" fans: regarding season 4?!

I have become addicted to "Rescue Me" thanks to my brother!. Problem is we never watched it before so we are watching it on DVDs!. My husband and I loved the first 3 seasons, but season 4 seems a lot different - much slower and it just seems to be written differently or directed differently!. (in case you aren't sure which season, Tommy gives the new baby (Johnny's baby) to Sheila, Janet takes him back and moves out again, Tommy meets a wierdo sex fiend who wont give her name and who only wants 3 minute sex and sends him out the door, he dates the new chief's crazy daughter, and then starts wearing a coat he finds of his dead cousins, sneaking in and out of fires trying to make people think they are seeing Jimmy's ghost - Then the chief (who doesn't like him much anyway) finds out and writes him up on section 8)

Does anyone like this season as much and how about season 5 - does it pick up again!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
