What's the name of the show that . . .?!

It was about two kids that lived next door to each other and were friends!. One was a boy and the other a girl!. And i remember that the intro had animation and them using the tin can telephones!. Can anyone please help me with the name of this show!? I've asked everyone I know and most people remember the show but nobody remembers the name!.
