I think he discovers the paternity of the baby because it might not be his because it might be Jack's!.
This is because Roxy slept with Jack in the nightclub a few months ago and also slept with Sean at the same time after she slept with Jack!.
And Roxy gives birth to her baby prematurely (don't know when) and I think that is how we and Sean and Jack find out for sure which one of them is the father!.
Apparently Sean takes the baby away to a lake I presume as I read it on an article on the internet somewhere but can't remember!.
