!.!.!.Brooklyn Bridge in the background!. I assume it is after post modern times!. They heard Bob Dylan's "all along the watchtower!." I would figure it to be post 21st century or the middle of the 21st century!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Oh, it's definitely waaaay beyond the 21st century!. "Caprica" the spin-off is set 51 years before the setting of Battlestar Galactica in a universe where the Twelve Colonies have long been established and is existing peacefully!. Between that, the widely held belief in a polytheistic Grecian-based religion, the FTL technology and the fact that the colonies have been heavily populated for what appears to be a long time, I'd say it was set far, far in the future!. Several hundred, if not a thousand years from now!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I don't think they found Earth at all!. I feel they found a planet with a few similarities!. I think they must keep moving until the final battle with the bots mid way through the final season's part two!.
Added: Or could it be that the bots got there first, nuked the planet and now Galactica will have more refugees to deal with as they continue to run from the botsWww@Enter-QA@Com
