A question about "dramatization" for reality TV producers?!
Question: A question about "dramatization" for reality TV producers!?
I always thought that a dramatization was a reenactment and not real footage!. I'm watching 'Dr G Medical Examiner' and they show the bodies and stuff that always looks like real footage, but it says "dramatization" in the corner!. I don't see how that can be right!. Can anyone explain this to me!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

A bit of clarification's in order!.!.!.
"Dramatization" and "re-enactment" are often used interchangeably by TV producers, not just reality television makers!.
In "Dr!. G!. Medical Examiner", the actors in the death scene re-enactments also appear as the corpses (the show alters the identities of those involved [i!.e!. the victims and their family members] for privacy reasons); the autopsy sequences are stock scenes shot to illustrate procedures during an autopsy)!.
What you see on the show is strictly a re-enactment (though they prefer using "dramatization", due to the fact that certain details about the real cases were altered a la "Dragnet", again for privacy reasons)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
