Answers:
He has an infarction in his leg!. The muscle started to die and they had to make a choice to amputate the leg or take a chance and remove damage tissue!. They removed the damaged tissue, as risky as it was, which resulted in his limp since part of the muscle in his leg is gone!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Muscle Infarction Affliction
Infarction information

Season One DVD
Infarction
Description of two cases of leg muscle infarctions in diabetes
What House says about the leg problem:
A patient: "What made you a cripple!?"
House: "I had an infarction!."
The patient: "A heart attack!?"
House: "It's what happens when the blood flow is obstructed!. If it's in the heart it's a heart attack!. If it's in the lungs it's a pulmonary embolism!. If it's in the brain it's a stroke!. I had it in my thigh muscles!."
The patient: "Wasn't there something they could do!?"
House: "There was plenty they could do, if they made the right diagnosis, but the only symptom was pain!. Not many people get to experience muscle death!."
The patient: "Did you think you were dying!?"
House: "I hoped I was dying!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

He had an infarction which is when the blood flow is blocked!. The blockage was in his thigh muscle and it was mis-diagnosised - before it diagnosised correctly part of the muscle had died and had to be removed - leaving him in pain and with a limb!.

I believe he had neuralgia!. Dr!. Cuddy operated on him without his consent (he was unconscious) and made it worse!.!? I believe they had an episode towards the end of last season with this in it!. It's in the episode called "Three Stories!." Www@Enter-QA@Com
