Michael Graziadei has gotten pretty popular in recent months (he guested on Criminal Minds, and it's said that he has a gig on 90210 as a drug dealer!.) I'm sure he wants to expand his acting abilities to big screen movies, so it's not really all that surprising!.

Here's what I found on a soap opera blog that I post at: Worst News Ever Alert: Don’t leave me, Graz! Soap Opera Digest quotes a well-placed source who reports one of the daytime TV’s finest younger actors, Michael Graziadei (Daniel) will not renew his contract when it expires in March 2009!.

I never have really cared for Daniel's character, so it really won't bother me if he decides to move on to other things!.
Daniel has always been too much into himself for my taste, everything always has to be about him and he just loves to play the victim like he is with Amber now and also did with Lilly!.
I do love him and Amber together, but lately I'm thinking she may do better with someone else, perhaps someone new to the show!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm not surprised, he's booked a few other acting gigs (remember when he was in Europe touring with his Dad and also back when his hair was all blonde and weird - those were for two other jobs)!.!.!. and he's a good actor, so I (sadly) could see him saying goodbye to Genoa City to do primetime TV or movies!. He's reportedly joining the new 90210 show!.

I hope they don't recast the role right away if/when he does leave, because it would be hard for me to accept someone new in the role right away!. I'll miss Daniel (and the Daniel & Amber romance that I've wanted to work out for a while!!)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I would hate to see him go!. I am really hoping that he and Amber can work things out!. Yeah, he has treated Amber pretty crappy lately, but she did cheat on him with Adrian!. I think he needs to put more blame on Phyllis for that!. I know she didn't force Amber to cheat on him, but Amber wouldn't have done it if Phyllis hadn't interfered!.
He may be interested in other roles as another person mentioned!. He was filming a movie, I believe it was a sequel to Into The Blue!. I don't know if that is finished or not!. I'm thinking !.!.!.!.The way Daniel has been treating Amber ( rude ) and sleeping with his ex-wifes best friend colleen ( sickening ) I really don't care if he does exit the show!. I feel hes run his role into the ground plus I have seen him in a couple TV crime drama's and maybe he wants to get out of daytime tv and get into prime time TV !?!?!?!?

Not sure!. But as I was standing in the grocery line yesterday, I saw on the front cover of Soap Digest that Danny is returning and it said "Will he and Phyllis reunite"!? So - it remains to be seen!. Guess we will have to wonder and wait!Www@Enter-QA@Com
