14 of the top 20 on thepiratebay.org is TV Shows...shouldn't this tell the T!

Question: 14 of the top 20 on thepiratebay!.org is TV Shows!.!.!.shouldn't this tell the TV execs something!?
I'm no market researcher, but it appears to me that TV shows are not being broadcast at a time deemed suitable to the viewers!.

Is it too much adverts then!?

If the figure had been for movies, I'd understand - people don't want to pay for movies / tickets to the cinema, either because they are mean, or can't afford to!.

But TV shows!? Most of us have a cable connection / digital free view box, so I am very interested to know the in's & out's of why something shown for free is top of the download list!.

What do you think!?

Thanks in advance for your answers!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well I'll give you the reasons why I do it!. A lot of the time the show is on at an hour when I'm at work or when I'd rather go out!. Sometimes I'll even get side-tracked doing something and I'll look at the clock and it's already 30 minutes into the show!.

So it's really convenient knowing that I don't have to worry about catching it since I'll have the opportunity to download it anyway!.

Then there's the fact that you can watch it on your own time, like if you have an hour to kill during the day!. You can also re-watch the episode if you liked it a lot!. Or in the case of some shows like Lost, you can re-watch for details you might have missed in the scenes or dialogue!.

Finally I think a small portion of people (including myself) download them so they can get the screencaps for websites or other photoshop/artsy type reasons!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Good point!. This is why big tv channel company's are going into free online tv viewing,so people can watch the shows from thier site or download it andwatch it whenever they wantWww@Enter-QA@Com

It's a great way for people to see shows that haven't been broadcast in their own countries yet, that's all!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am in the UK but download a lot of TV which premieres in the US months before the UK!.

I tend to get Heroes so that I can watch it as soon as it has been broadcast, rather than waiting several weeks for it to be shown in the UK!.

also, many of the programmes will be from either subscription channels which not everybody has (or wants to pay for) or for channels which are only provided by a certain provider!. For example, we saw an advert for something on Sky1 the other day but Virgin Media don't allow us to have Sky1 so the only way we can see the show is by downloading it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
