Question: Now that Lex is gone, do you think this season of Smallville has gotten sucky!?
I think they should have either kept Lex or ended the series in the previous season!. Lex was awesome and it sucks that he's gone!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

You're right, but I think it started going downhill when Clark started living with Lana and rejected Chloe!. The tension brought a lot to the show!. Bringing in Lois bugged me at first, but I got used to her!. Personally!.!.!.I think they could've made Chloe change her name to Lois (she used the name as a fake name at the Daily Planet before Lois came) and allowed her and Lana to fight it out!. I don't mean physically!. Bringing in Lois, weakened all of this and added nothing to the show!. We knew they had to do it, but Chloe was the writing wizard and I thought that was a great way to introduce Lois!. The real Lois is intriguing, but Chloe is way better!.
But, you're right!. Removing the Luthors from the show also removed Clark's hesitations, his indecisions, etc!. It also left them with little material for new shows!. The enemies are often wack--when they do appear (rarely)--while Lex and his father provided constant trouble for Clark and company!. The stones storyline was one of the best on the show, but they threw it away with a wack ending!. Lana as the witch didn't even really fight Clark!. It could've been a real end of the world conflict like Buffy and Angel shows!. also, giving Lex gadgets and other his capabilities like in the movies would've given more material to the writers!. They removed Lex just as he was getting truly dangerous!. By the way, making the father good was a wack move!. I thought he was faking, but it seems he wasn't!. They need a character that brings in conflict like that girl who teleports, Lex, Lionel, Lana v!. Chloe, etc!. They made sure to remove all of this so!.!.!.yeah!. Time for Smallville to bite the dust!. Unless!.!.!.they want to defy convention like they did by bringing on Super Girl, Clark's Kryptonian parents, etc!. There is potential there, but they seem to be laying on the "heavy drama", and over-compensating with Tess being ruthless enough to bail out her would-be assassin only to give him a sure death sentence!.

Smallville has always been cheesy!! I only watch b/c my fiance watches it!. I think the show does need to end, they just arn't far enough along in Clark's story to let it end!. I think they should wrap it up though and end it after this season!Www@Enter-QA@Com
