A lot of times (really famous) moviemakers f!.e!. use Dutch language in movies!.!.!.!.!.but a lot of times it's not Dutch they speak but German or Swedish!.!.!.!.Directors do your research !!
also you still see: windmills and woodenshoes!.!.!.!.!.man!.!.!.!.only the farmers still wear wooden shoes and there are no many windmills left in our country
It seems they want to portrait the stereotypical Dutch person or life!.
But its so old !!
But probably it works !
also a lot of caracters smoke weed!.!.!.!.like everyone is smoking weed!.!.haha I travel a lot and the people I meet are surprised when I say I only smoke weed once a year!.!.!.!.!.
So yeah the image they portrait of Dutch people isnt really close to the truth,

No, I hate it!. I'm English and I hate the way all the Britsh countries get lumped together!. In a lot of American shows they mention talking with a Britsh accent!.!.!.what the hell, this does not exist!!!!
also, Englsh people are always portrayed as being really posh and upper class or really common, football hooligan types!. I'm not too happy with Little Britain USA either!.
