Dr!. Phil is indeed a doctor!. He used to be a practising psychologist!. But lately his shows have degenerated into an Oprah-lite Geraldo show!. I am afraid that I am disgusted with the downward-change in his show and certainly would not want him to run for congress when he displays such a complete lack of judgement!. No!. Dr Phil is a Product!. He is an actively marketed Product in much the same way that celebrities, diamonds, dental floss and power drills are marketed!. Now, in any other society, this may not be such a bad thing!.
But, because America is a nation of consumers who will buy anything they're told to buy, giving a Product far too much power is just asking for trouble!. After all, look at everything that transpired since America gave too much power to the last tool it bought (let's hope that Obama does a better job)!.
