Who do I complain to...?!

Question: Who do I complain to!.!.!.!?
I was watching tv with my oldest daughter and a commerical came on for a strip club this is at 9:30 on a Saturday night on local tv!. She asked me about it and all I could get out of my mouth was it was just nasty but it's time for bed!. It's just wrong they don't advertise cigarettes for good reason I'm sure but you still see alcohol commericals all day and now these kind!. Am I wrong for wanting to shelter my child from those kind of things!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I answered this already but, if after 9 pm, on a weekend, the station was right to show it, because after 9 pm, all kids should be in bed,and it is considered adult-time, on network tv!.
That is why the ad ran!.
If u really feel uptight over it, then write a letter to the station manager, but it might not get read, as some ppl go overboard, and complain, especially religious zealots, who have nothing better to do other than gripe about what they should not be watching anyway!. If they are so religious, why are they even watching tv shows/ ads, like that anyway!?
That is my view!. To shelter her is one thing; we all wnat our kids to be innocent forever!.
But in todays society, it isnt going to happen!.
Kids are curious, and they will find out about stuff whether we want them to or not!. better to tell her, in an unbiased way, rather her go behind yer back and find out from sources u don't want her to!.
Like I did!.
I found out about strippers, from a friend of my mom's, who was one!.
I didnt know the names of dance moves, but i did find out alot more than I bargained for,and when my mom found out!.!.!. boy was she maaaad! Lol!. there was a Harvest/ Blood moon, that night!!! lol!.
So, there ya go!

One may be able to get station licenses revoked if the strip club ad actually went through a strip act!. My expectation is that the ads stayed clear of displaying any full frontal nudity, and probably any bent over rear view nudity!.

In effect, while the display will have caused some curiosity, it would have stopped short of delivering the goods!. It leaves that to our imagination!. In a way, what was displayed could likely be seen on any beach, and public standards tolerate it!.

Well, what can we do about it!? As long as public standards tolerate any level of display, it is likely not going to be effective to try to force advertising off the air!. So the approach may have to be to get the public to just turn off the station that displayes it!. I mean completely boycott that station!.

If your group is effective, that will be educational for the industry, and if you are ineffective perhaps it will be educational for you!. How might you apply more pressure, like not buying from any advertiser on that station!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, you are!. Life is full of sex, drugs and money!. Sheltering kids from these things to an over extent will only cause them to want to rebel and do such things in the future!. I'm not saying you should bring her to a strip club, but, don't be shy to explain such things to her!. That's just my opinion anyway!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I totally agree with you I saw an ad for a personals phone line one evening and I don't like condom commercials during children's shows!. Send a letter to your tv station the address will be on their website!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't think you are wrong to want to protect your children!. If enough parents complained, something would be done to get these ads off air!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you're in the US, you can file a complaint with the FCC!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
