Question: Curious if anyone else is grossed out by the yahoo ad, promoting the great new serial killer show "Dexter"!?
What other country glorifys a serial killer,!? Turned on my computer and there it was !.the yahoo ad promoting this tv show!. No wonder we have such screwed up children and virtually no morals ourselves!. No wonder the rest of the world thinks we are a crass, ignorant and self indulgant, godless society!. Ive watched dexter In my opinion its a dark comedy/drama!. I love it its well written and funny!. I think to be honest that were all so desensitized to violence that nothing much shocks us any more!. Morally the series is bad I can see your point!. On the entertainment side I enjoy it!. Because its not really anything new I don't feel it would have an influence on me!.
Turn on any news program and you see this sort of thing, or documentaries, glamorizing violence!. The entertainment industry just jumps on the band wagon, as dose the media!. Its peoples sick fascination to the macabre that dose it!. Its something the majority wouldn't dream of doing so its ok to watch, because its not true!. Besides they were a book series first, and again its no different from reading a book or news paper!. Get over it!. If you watch the show you would see it is far less harmful than you think!. As far as our kids being screwed up!.!.!. it is because of people like you who shelter the truth from their eyes!. Look the world is dirty, expose it to them in safe doses and your kids will learn far more!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
The show is actually starting season 3, so it's not really a "new" show!. And I doubt the rest of the world judges us based on one television show, that'd be pretty sad if they did!. The show is only on Showtime, so it's not like every one watches it!. It's an interesting show though!. The character of Dexter is so complicated that it's interesting to watch his journey, even if it's a bit of a gruesome one!. I don't think Dexter glorifies a serial killer, but a show needs advertising!.
Children don't get screwed up just from tv shows!. And seriously, if their parents let them watch Dexter, the parents are the cause of problems by letting them watch the show!. For every show that's like Dexter, there are many others that have good morals!. Watch those instead!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
