How does someone become a Nielsen participant?!

I used to work for Nielsen media research for three years here in Ky!. People are chosen by their area, race and ethnicity!. Sometimes calls are made to conduct a special survey!. Sometimes just to find African American homes to do the TV survey sometimes just to find homes with Black Hispanics (which was always a task, because there was a lot of offense taken) But all of these phone calls are generated thru a random calling machine!. Nielsen buys numbers from credit card companies !.!.!.

I was one just by some telephone questions, the stuff came in the mail and that was it, but got to tell you would not rush to do it again, you have a seperate list for each tv in your house and have to explain what time etc etc and what programme was on for ALL of them and how many was watching!.!.!.not a fun time when you have two teenagers playing channel surfing!.
