Because that was the PRIME TIME emmys not the DAY TIME emmys!. Ellen won talk show host this year again!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
Talk shows like Letterman, etc!. are lumped into a category called Best Variety, Comedy series and linked with shows like the past Oscar Awards, etc!. Letterman was nominated along with Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert!.

the primetime emmys have the jay lenos, lettermen, jon stewarts ( late night talk shows) but shows like Ellen Oprah, etc are in the Daytime AwardsWww@Enter-QA@Com
They probably did have one!. They usually give those awards before the show airs & later mention it!. TV people are probably too busy trying to get ratings to remember to mention it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
