Question: An opinion on the tv show family guy!.!?
My son is 12 and tells me that all of his friends watch family guy!. He tells me that he feels left out because they tell him about it and it is so funny!. My husband and i sat down to watch it and thought that it was very offensive!. We felt that it was to degrading and definitely not appropriate for a 12 year old!. Actually I don't think it is appropriate for any age!. I wondered what other parents thought about this and especially for a 12 year old watching it!. I also wondered about comments about the Simpson's!. Thank you Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm with you, I hate that show and I've only seen parts of it!. I don't allow my kids to watch it and my oldest are 13 yr old twins!. I don't care what other parents do!. Sometimes I feel like I';m the only parent of all their friends who actually cares enough to monitor these things!. I also think they egagerate when they say ALL their friends watch it!. Probably one or two have talked about it and that's it LOL!.

I've only watched Family Guy a few times, but their content seem to be a little on the mature side!. Now, the Simpson's, which I love, isn't exactly what you call a family cartoon either, but somehow it's milder (there could be some bias)!. also, although the values get sometimes screwed up in Simpson's, somehow it ends up teaching one at the show's end!.
I think Family Guy is a poor, desperate imitation of the Simpson's!. I think the creator is trying too hard, especially if they are planning to topple off the Simpsons!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't have kids but I love Family Guy I think it's the funniest thing on FOX and that 12 yrs old is plenty old enough to watch it!. Plus it's supposed to be offensive that's what makes it funny but it's not as offensive as American Dad it is really offensive and not funny!. As for The Simpson's I don't think it's offensive in anyway but I don't think it's been funny in a few years and I think it's just dying and being dragged out for season after season!.
As for letting your kids watch I think you should let them decide if they think it's funny and if they want to watch it let them!. And how could be so offended with the way TV and radio is so heavily censored that really surprises me You sound like your on your way to becoming one of those people who are always writing letters and sending email to complain to the FCC which intern makes them ovreact to it and censor even more!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

OMG I love that show!!!! While it's inappropriate, my friends watched it when they were 12!. As long as he knows what's wrong and is mature about it, I say let him do it!.
