Can someone tell me about the E-space trilogy of Doctor Who?!

Question: Can someone tell me about the E-space trilogy of Doctor Who!?
Answers:
The E-Space Trilogy was originally aired in 1981 in the seventh and final season of Fourth Doctor Tom Baker!. The Trilogy is in the middle part of the season and is the device by which companions Romana and K-9 are written out and new companion Adric is written in!. This is 1980's Doctor Who with 1980's theme music and 1980's style!. Tom Baker is good this season and brings a gravitas to the role that replaces the silliness (not a criticism, I like the zany Tom Baker, too) of the previous couple of seasons!. Romana gets some juicy parts and Adric is not yet terribly annoying--he's actually pretty good in State of Decay!.

The first of the three stories is titled "Full Circle!." In this story, the TARDIS travels through a gateway (called a "CVE") from Normal Space (N-Space) into another, smaller universe called Exo-Space (E-Space)!. The TARDIS lands on the planet Alzarius where the Doctor and Romana become involved with the inhabitants in a story involving political intrigue, Darwinian evolution, actors-in-rubber-suit-type creatures, and giant spiders!. Fun stuff, if you can deal with the cheap rubber costumes and plastic spiders typical of Doctor Who!.

The second story is "State of Decay!." In this story, the Doctor, Romana, and stowaway Adric land on a planet where culture of the human inhabitants has devolved from high-tech to medieval and the autocratic "three who rule" are in the service of a giant vampiric bat-like alien creature!. This is basically a traditional vampire story given the Doctor Who treatment!. This is one of the highlights of the season, an excellent story with some super fun over-the-top vampire acting!.

The trilogy's closer is "Warriors' Gate!." This story begins with a mysterious time traveler who appears to be a human/lion hybrid (a "lionine mesomorph", Romana says, whom we later learn is a "Tharil" named Biroc) opening the TARDIS doors in mid-flight and being quite enigmatic!. The TARDIS lands and the regulars become involved with a human spaceship crew who are trying to get back to N-Space and are using the Tharils as slaves with the ability to navigate!. The episode ends with Romana and K-9 staying to help free the Tharils and the Doctor and Adric going to N-Space!. This is a complex story with many interesting ideas and some good special effects for the time!. I particularly like the Tharil characters and I think they are worthy of a return in NEW WHO!.

I have loved these stories since I was a kid and I know them by heart!. Buy the trilogy, you'll like them, too!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

The E-space trilogy is a name given to the three stories "Full Circle", "State of Decay" and Warriors' Gate" from the 18th season of the original series!. The three stories take place after passing through a CVE the Logoplitans created to stop the "Heat Death" of our universe!.

The three stories are set in the E-space setting!. In the story when they came through - the TARDIS could not read the co-ordinates until Adric slipped the local image translator in the TARDIS and the Doctor and Romana realised that where they were at had negative co-ordinates!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
