How can the major characters in star trek constantly outfight klingons and jem&#!
Question: How can the major characters in star trek constantly outfight klingons and jem'hadar in close combat!?
Klingons and Jem'hadar are supposed to be these elite warriors yet in every hand to hand battle where they are bad guys they get whooped!. I find it hard to believe that someone who captains a starship for the federation would be able to outfight in hand to hand combat elite klingon and jem'hadar warriors!. Worf and Data i understand but nobody else like Kirk and Sisko!. Can any one explain why this happens besides good guy bad guy thing!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because of bad writing!.
Look up character shield on wikipedia!. Basically what that means is that you can have other characters die by the hundreds or thousands if they face the same dangers, but the main stars will ALWAYS find some way to survive no matter what the situation!.
also look up red shirts!.
And the Klingons got the worse deal on TNG and DS9!.
In the original ST series they were formidable warriors!. After that they all became these drunken baffoons who are more interested in starting bar room brawls then actually doing anything significant!.
The Jem'Hadar actually seemed like ST had redeemed themselves a little by creating a really interesting warrior race!. Then they screwed it up like they always do whenever they get a good idea!.
It's just like with the Borg!. They are always being written so stupidly!. You can't say "Resistance is futile" when you're getting your azz handed to you on a regular basis by the Federation!. The worse is when Voyager does!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I know what you mean, it is a little unbelieveable!.!.!. And did you ever notice that Worf got his butt kicked alot for someone who was supposed to be so fierce and strong!?
My theory is that Klingons aren't at all as strong as they appear to be and that is why people like Kirk and Sisko are able to overpower them, lol!.

All Star Trek personel go through Extensive training before they are allowed on a star ship!. They also have weekly training classed in hand to hand combat!. (I thought everyone knew this!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com
