Question: The CSI shows: Art nowhere close to real life!?
I'm a little puzzled by the popularity of the CSI shows considering they are the most unrealistic crime drama on the air today!. CSIs do not interrogate suspects nor are they involved in the process beyond investigating and gathering evidence at a crime scene (hence their title) or testifying during the trial phase!.
I watched the original for awhile because Marg Helgenberger is a babe but I now find it silly and overly dramatic!.

I hate the way they put fingerprints/DNA/photos into their databanks and *PING* out comes the answer in about two seconds! As if! I'm like you; I watched the original for a while, saw an occasional early Miami episode (Wanda De Jesus is also a major babe) but soon lost interest in the whole thing!.

The only one that interests me is the original!. I'm well aware that DNA and toxicology results take weeks or even months depending on the sophistication of the lab, and that crimes are not solved within that 42 minute window of the program's running time!. But that doesn't make me enjoy the show any less!. The Las Vegas characters are complex and interesting, - they have well-defined temperaments and flaws, and I find the interaction amongst them as well as their reactions to the cases they investigate very compelling!. It's a dramatic series that just happens to revolve around forensics!.!.!.so I take it for what it is!.
My other favorite shows, Heroes and Dexter, are equally unbelievable, but they are still incredibly fun to watch!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

My husband and I, who are both in law enforcement laugh about this all the time!. Information just doesn't pop up in a second and fingerprint matches don't just happen that quick!. Its very unrealistic!. I suppose that if they showed them all waiting around for weeks, even months, waiting on DNA results to come back like they do in real life, people would get bored real quick!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
