I watched it and like you was astounded by it all!.That liittle girl was sooo ill yet the decision lied on the head of the village and the elders of the family!.
I was also upset to see that because the family were of lower cast they weren't allowed to step foot into the temple yet people came to see the little girl as they thought she was a goddess, I had tears in my eyes when she died and the village priest refused to do a ceremony and another priest was reluctant to do it as they were lower cast but than agreed, how two faced are this people!.!.!.!.!.she had done nothing to anyone,I am glad she got a good buriel and the temple her father and family built in her memory said it all for me and she will live for ever, and hope those two faced priests get their commepence!.I believe in the eyes of god we are all equal!.

This is how it has been done for generations, and who are we to question it!. As a mum of three kiddies though it was heartbreaking to watch, and I shouted 'YES!!' whent he parents did eventually rush her to Hospital, off their own backs!. Such a shame she was so ill and died!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
it was very bizarre, totally unnecessary for her to die!. i think if she had been allowed more in depth tests, they would have realised her heart was in trouble!.
