While everyone is entitled to there opinion, i find it amusing how people have nothing better to do other than contact the BBC to complain about anything they do not agree with ,
If there happens to be something on th tv i do not really agree with or not want to watch i would just turn over, i wouldnt try and inflict my views on others by complaining as 99% of the time i would be the minority so why would i would anyone want to spoil things for the majority!?!?!?

while most things on tv are not to each others tastes doesnt mean i have the right to dictate what others watch, so why would others think they have the right!? Answers pleaseWww@Enter-QA@Com

Unfortunately, there are over 33,000 children on the at risk register in the UK!. A lot more go through the abuse without the abuse being reported!.

If Eastenders are airing the storyline, it raises awareness, maybe encourages victims to speak up!. I feel Eastenders should be applauded for that, not criticised!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the storyline is really well written!. Its not to graphic, so really young children wouldnt really understand to be honest, and if you are old enough to understand then i see no reason why you should be offended, they are just dealing with a real life issue, and dealing with how some child abuse is about control, which it is, i dont understand why some people are complaining about it, dont watch it if it offends you, Simple!.

You know what!? I absolutely agree with you! Those people who sit on their a*** all day have nothing better to do that complain!. If they don't like it, they can just not watch it and remember that those storylines are sometimes there for a reason! xWww@Enter-QA@Com

im 15 and i can remember my parents letting me watch eastenders since i was 10, i always use to watch baldy phill mitchell in all his antics!.

I think it helps us understand real life! They tackle serious stories too!. Eastenders have had enough flack!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Agree!. You feel like saying "calm down it's only a soap!"Www@Enter-QA@Com

I totally agree with you, in fact I was one of the ones who gave you the thumbs up!!! You know who was being totally ridiculous!. If you don't like the program dont watch it, it's not compulsory!. People with too much time on their hands methinks!

I actually think the story line in question is very true to life, as many abusers think if they get the child in question to consent by manipulating their feelings then its legal!. If there are any children out there which this is happening to then the storyline could potentially help them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think that if some people have different views on tv then thats their problem!.
For example if i a friend really wanted to see a movie and i really didnt just because a small amount didnt want to see it shouldnt mean its being taken of air, just turn the tv over!.
Nearly 99% of eastenders storylines are based on true events im sure and this new one with Whitney happens all over the world, and not some sick story someone has written up!.
As eastenders have said in interviews they are working extremely closely with NSPCC and other childrens charitys, if there was something going out that was incorrect in any way they wouldnt allow it and would over drawn with complaints!. Some people seem to complain to think that its a disgrace to watch it, those people are in denial of what is happening around them!. Its happens in real life and this programme, whether everyone complains or not, is making light of the situation and you never know, might actually help children or teens in the same problem to realise that everything is not completely normal and they are being abused and so is there trust!.
Sorry for the ramble! lol But its how is strongly feel

I agree 100% I think it's great and it helps raise awareness that this happens!. Some people would prefer to shut their eyes and pretend it doesn't happen, that's why they don't like it when they are shown that it does!. If this was bad, the NSPCC (who are working with eastenders) would not agree to work with them!. It is as realistic as possible, and I think if there are any abused children watching it, they will realise it is not normal or right, an opinion they are manipulated in to believing by their abuser!. This could probably stop at least a few cases of abuse going on right now, and that is good!.

I also agree with the complaining thing!. Firstly, your complaint is probably not even going to be acknowledged anyway because there won't be enough people sad enough to actually write in and complain so they stop the storyline and secondly you are write, just don't watch the program if you don't like it, why try to get it taken off!?!

In that link someone has said "I believe they are partly to blame for some children becoming aware of topics that they are too young to be addressing; issues and stories that are only suitable for the post-watershed adult audience!." which is totally stupid, why shouldn't children become aware of things that really happen, I think it'll just help them be more cautious when they are older!. This story in Eastenders is no way needed to be on after water shed it's not like you see Tony and Whitney doing anything more than kissing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree fully- if you dont like it, switch over!
The show writers always tackle difficult situations with extreme care so they are not seen as distasteful or offensive- look how well they did with the Honey/Billy/Janet/Down's syndrome storyline! These kind of issues are adressed with care & therefore are there to educate- plenty of people don't know much about these situations before viewing on tv because they bury their heads in the sand!
These are the storylines that make it interesting & compulsive viewing, if soaps were full of people just doing "normal" things very few people would watch!

xxxxWww@Enter-QA@Com

I totally agree with this!. If you don't like something, just don't watch it!. Its not difficult!
I do think that sometimes complaints need to be made about certain things but things such as the storyline in Eastenders, things like this need addressing because it something that some people have to deal with in real life and it could address some serious issues for some people!.
And as for saying that it shouldn't be on TV because young children watch it, if they are that young they should be in bed by the time Eastenders comes on shouldn't they!? and isn't it supposed to be aimed at adults and older children!Www@Enter-QA@Com
