I just found it disturbing viewing, i really don't like the storyline at all and i may give it a miss while it continues!. We hear enough of child abuse in real life and i really dont find this entertaining T!.V!. It makes me feel sick!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think this story line is good, because it raises awareness that this DOES happen in reality!. I think that if an abused child saw it and realised it wasn't the norm, they could ring up BBC action line or child line!. I think this could help stop at least a few cases of abuse!.

As to the age thing, I have watched Eastenders since I was really young, maybe 2/3 (though I prob didn't understand it back then!) and I have turned out fine!.

You can't close your eyes and pretend it doesn't happen, or be angry that Eastenders is doing this storyline because maybe it doesn't happen!. In my opinion it's good for children to be aware of this because if it ever happened to them they would realise it is wrong, not right as they are manipulated into believing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm sick and tired of the 'controversial' storylines in Eastenders; they frequently go too far and have a lot to answer for!. I believe they are partly to blame for some children becoming aware of topics that they are too young to be addressing; issues and stories that are only suitable for the post-watershed adult audience!. The BBC should realise by now that this stupid, outdated notion they have, that kids snuggle up on the sofa with Mummy and Daddy and a cup of cocoa is totally unreal; also, that some topics should not be rammed down our throats in such a crass manner!. I will be writing to the BBC to express my disapproval, and if I had kids here, I wouldn't let them see EastendersWww@Enter-QA@Com

Depends what age your children are !? i dont allow my youngest to watch them , but i do let my 11 yr old daughter and in my own way and in terms she would understand i explained the situation ,
Eastenders brings up a whole range of subjects as do other soaps , which if you find offensive to your children then they really are not old enough to be watching them , the aim is to educate not offend!.

Christine do you not think that if even 1 child is saved from being abused with this storyline than its a job well done!?

Eastenders have been working closely with the NSPCC to make sure this storyline is true and realistic to what happens everyday to thousdands of children, if the NSPCC think that this is so bad they wouldnt of had anything to do with the programme!. I think its you that needs to move with the times!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with Chucky here, its exactly how i felt!.!.could be helping people out there in this sick situation enough to pickup the phone for help!.
Yes it is sickening!.!.but there is weirdos out there like this and think eastenders have done a great job making people aware of this!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
