Question: What happened to Richie's older brother on Happy Days!?
On the first episodes of the old TV show Happy Days, Richie had an older brother named Chuck who played basketball!. After a few episodes he was gone!. Where did he go, why didn't we ever hear from him again, did he go away to college and die!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

The serious answer is the show was nearly canceled, that was when "Rock Around the Clock" was the theme, and they completely revamped the series, wrote Chuck out, made Fonzie the star, he had started out as a bit player, really!. It became the show that was a hit after Chuck left!. I think there was more than one actor who played Chuck because he was not a big character in the show!.
There have been other shows that characters seemed to disappear, especially kids!. Back in the early '60's, Lucy's 2nd show, "The Lucy Show" started with her having a couple of kids!. Then they were suddenly just written out!. In the late '60's Doris Day had a show where she had a couple of sons!. They were written out completely after a year or so!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think Happy Days got lame after 1st season!. The first year had much more authentic sets, costumes, and hairstyles and was filmed much more realistic!.
Then they moved to 2-3 sets sitcom style, and started to grow late 70s bushy feathered hairstyles!.
By the last season I don't think they even attempted to make it look like it was the early 60's, the characters looked so 1983!. Joni and Chachis feathered hair was too much!
