Question: Project Runway: Why does Heidi Klum always carry that black bag on the runway!?
When the show opens and Heidi comes out to talk about the new challenge and which model is out, she is always carrying a black tote back of sorts!. What is it for!? Its not exactly a stylish accessory, it doesn't have a purpose to the scene and its always the same one!. Does anyone know the answer!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

The bag holds the plastic name tags for each of the competitors!. If the designer who won wants to change models, everyone gets to pick a new one, and they pick in order of when their name is pulled from the bag!. So far this season, no one has changed models, so no need for name pulling from the bag!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The black bag is usually used for model selection!. The remaining designers names are on buttons in the bag!. Then Heidi pulls out one button at a time and the person named gets to pick a model!. The idea is to mix up the models with different designers!. The scene is usually accompanied by cut scenes to different designers voicing their happy or mostly unhappy opinions with the choices involved!. It helps to create drama and makes the challenges harder for the designers!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
the winning designer gets to choose if s/he wants to keep the same model or swap!. If they want to swap (which they never do), they bring out all of the models and the bag she carries has the names of the designers in it to decide the order in which they pick their models!. hope that helps!Www@Enter-QA@Com
