all usa tv/movie writers belong to a Union ( or guild)-- they have a Contract with the tv/movie studios-- when the contract is up they negosiate a New contract-- if they sides cannot agree then the Union can call a strike
last yr the Union had a strike lasting 6 weeks- during that time No scripts were wriiten and it closed down most every scripted tv show/movie set!. No writers= no scripts = no new episodes!.
The writers wanted a % of the Online $$- they were getting Zero from Offical downloads like at Itunes or at the Network's websiteWww@Enter-QA@Com
