There was a lockdown, courtesy of Stefano (yes, he's back), at the hospital and Sami and EJ "bonded" during the drama!. They were trapped in a stair well and Sami and EJ started making out and Sami said she couldn't imagine her life without him!.!.!.

Sami is still trying to fight her feelings for E!.J!. but she did tell him that she still loved him when they were in the stairwell!. Both Lucas and Nicole saw them in the stairwell and thats why Lucas is being a jerk because he knows Sami still has feelings for E!.J!.
