Samantha Evans was the twin sister of Dr!. Marlena Evans came to Salem to impersonate her sister!. Samantha was drug and alcohol problems, and hated her sister for her success in life!. Samantha managed to knock out her sister Marlena and have her committed to Bayview Sanitarium!. She then took on her sisters role and began to impersonate Dr!. Marlena Evans!. Marlena attempted to escape, and even contacted her fiancee Don Craig, but Samantha managed to convince him it was a phony call!. She then authorized various forms of shock treatment to keep Marlena quiet!.
Samantha made the biggest mistake when she dumped Marlena's boyfriend Don Craig and left Salem to star in a movie!. Don became suspicious and with Laura Horton's help discovered that Marlena was imprisoned in a Bayview Sanitarium!. Don and Laura found Samantha and managed to convince her to admit what she had done!. Marlena was released from Bayview, and Samantha was entered into a Sanitarium back in Colorado were her family was from!. Later when Marlena visited Samantha in the sanitarium the two reconciled!.
By 1979 Samantha was out of the sanitarium and back at work acting on shows!. Later that year she would require a kidney transplant which she would get in 1980!.
In 1982 Samantha Evans was killed by the Salem Strangler Jake Kositcheck, who thought he was killing Marlena Evans!.

Marlena was "The Salem Stalker" but thanks to the wonderful Dimeras she was kind of in a trance when each murder happened!. It started in late 2003 & wrapped up in 2004!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
