Ryan Cooley [the actor why played J!.T!.] wanted to go to University, so he left Degrassi and they killed J!.T!. off of the show!.

In an interview with theTVaddict!.com, Ryan Cooley said that he was thinking about going to University and leaving the show before he actually found out that J!.T!. was going to die!.
He said that finding out that J!.T!. was going to die and that it would be his last time on the show made it easier for him to decide to go to University!.
