Question: How do people get on Reality shows for MTV!? Ex: Laguna Beach, Hills!.!.!?

My school was one of the three schools that MTV was going to use for "Laguna Beach", but my school (Chaparral High School, Scottsdale, AZ) thought it would give them a bad rep!. Oh well :)
"Chaparral in the media: Chaparral was among three high schools in the U!.S!. approached by MTV regarding a program depicting the lives of economically affluent students as the schools area has a median income!. Chaparral administrative officials declined the offer!. The program, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, went on to become one of the network's highest-rated shows, focusing on a high school in Southern California!. Chaparral has also had a student featured on MTV's reality show!."
Shows like Laguna Beach have little to do with auditioning!. I know in the case of Laguna Beach, MTV searched schools all over the nation and chose the ones that they thought best fit what they were looking for!.
For shows like The Real World, there are try outs!. For those, I would check the MTV website!.

You check out the site!. In this case, mtv!.com and check the castings!.
Usually, for example for castings on the Lagune Beach, how they decided to choose the main character (which Lauren Conrad), they interview them, etc!. And for dramatic purposes, they chose her b/c of the "targeted format they geared on": teen drama, etc!.

By doing castings !.!. Got to act , sing or even dance !.!.
Then they qualify you !.!. Look up for castings at internet, books,
