I think for the most part it's an act, but sometimes it switches over to reality!. I remember a couple of years ago on some show like 20/20 They had a guest from the Springer show who's boyfriend came out of the closet on the show!. She was explaining how trashy the show was, and how they'd hyped her up before she went out so that when he revealed his secret to her she would get angry instead of emotional!. She said that the producers told her to "get mad and fight him or the other guy if you feel like doing it" but she was too much of a lady and just left the stage instead of fighting to raise their ratings!.

I believe that the guests are prompted before the show with obscene behavior and they do it for their 15 minutes of fame!. Some of them, if not all, have no pride whatsoever!. It is kind of sad, but perverse!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
