I've asked similar questions like this, and the folks on Yahoo Answers are generally pretty clueless about what shows will be premiering this season!.

I'm personally excited for the US version of "Life On Mars" on ABC, especially with the huge additions to the cast, bringing in Harvey Keitel and Michael Imperioli!. It'll be fun to see transitional America as the Viet Nam war comes to an end, as well as the end of the hippie movement and the watergate scandal and everything else that went on in this country at that time!. I'm a little skeptical though because I don't think Jason O'Mara fits very well as Sam Tyler, but I'm keeping an open mind and do hope that ABC Studios makes a remake worthy of the incredible UK series!. I think Harvey Keitel as Gene Hunt will be good in elevating Jason O'Mara's performance in the series!.

I'm also really looking forward to "The Ex-List" on CBS (although I think "Mythological Ex" was a much better title), particularly because from what I've seen of the Israeli original (admittedly very little) it looks to be a promising addition to CBS's Friday Night lineup along with "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs!." I'm also interested to see how Elisabeth Reaser does as a lead in her own series!.

FOX's "Fringe" is also on my must-watch list, mainly because of my faith in JJ Abrams' ability to create a provocative must-watch series!. If "Felicity," "Alias" and "Lost" are any indication of the quality of "Fringe," than I don't think I'll be disappointed!. Although at this point, I'm not too impressed with what I've seen of Anna Torv in the pilot!. But with the rest of the cast including Lance Reddick and Joshua Jackson (who has so far impressed me in the pilot), it'll give Anna Torv time to develop into the lead actress the producers have been hyping her up to be!.

HBO's "True Blood" is the series that I'm looking forward to the most at this point, mainly because it'll have the quirky comedic style Alan Ball perfected with his previous series, Six Feet Under!. I saw the pilot about a month or two ago and it slowly hooked me into embracing the show, and I'm been really eager to see the second episode of the series!. The show's had a great and quriky marketing push, taking billboards and magazine ads to advertise the fictional "Tru Blood" drink!.

Other fall series premiers I'll be checking out is CBS's "Eleventh Hour" and "The Mentalist!." I don't really have much faith in NBC this season so their series premiers will be DVRed!.

Fall premiers aren't as exciting as years past, and understandably so!. As a result, there are some incredible shows that are slated to premier in mid-season!.

Above all of the new series premiering in the fall, I'm much more excited about the resurrection of Rob Thomas' masterwork "Cupid," although I'm nervous about the fact that Cupid/Trevor Hale is being played by anyone other than Jeremy Piven who was so perfect in that role (and almost every role he's ever played, really)!. Paula Marshall, Jeffrey D!. Sams, Paul Adelstein, Jeffrey Vincent Parise and Daniel Bryant will also be missed greatly, and I hope they all appear as a guest star at some point on the show!.

FOX's second round with Joss Whedon and his series, "Dollhouse" also has me a bit apprehensive considering the pathetic treatment given to Whedon's great series "Firefly!." However, that was then and FOX has since gotten a new President of Entertainment in Kevin Reilly who was really the one responsible for the better new shows featured on NBC (the success of Heroes, Chuck, Life, and 30 Rock cannot be accredited to current NBC prez Ben Silverman)!. So, with the inclusion of Reilly, I think Whedon will have a better time this go-around!.

For the mid-season I'm also really looking forward to ABC's Captain Cook's Extraordinary Atlas which could be one of the most unique shows anywhere on television, with the claim that the series will be like "Harry Potter" meets "Pan's Labyrinth!." They had me at "Pan's Labyrinth!." Prince of Motor City, Bad Mother's Handbook and Section 8 all look to be promising possibilities for the mid-season!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
