Question: Whatever happened to the Deadwood movies that they were going to make!?
I thought when the show ended that they were planning on making 2 movies!. Well its been a couple years now, and i havent heard anything!. Has anyone else!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

There were plans to finish the series with two two-hour long episodes and it seemed to be going ahead but I think there were problems getting some of the actors to return to their roles because they were involved in other projects and then the writers strike was the final nail in the coffin!.
I read an interview with Ian McShane and he confirmed that Deadwood is dead - the sets have been dismantled because they were too expensive to maintain and the plans for the conclusion to the series have been dropped!.
I was so disappointed because I really liked Deadwood and nothing was resolved in the final episode!. Damn writers strike!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

The movies are in limbo, mostly because the creator, David Milch, has been busy developing other projects for HBO!. As time passes, the likelihood of the movies actually being made decreases!. Even the elaborate sets have been struck down already!. HBO even admitted last month that it is unlikely the movies would be made!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
