She's from Harvard and first came to Genoa City to see Adam because they were best friends there (Harvard)!.
She ran into Brad at the bar and Brad found out that she was a poker expert then invited her to the poker games he had his house and invited David Chow to set up him up to start gambling again!.
She left for awhile, but came back and played another poker game at Brad's house with David Chow, but this time Brad stacked the deck so Skye would win and David would loose all the money he had, (several thousand of dollars)!.
That's why David killed her and hid what was left of her body underneath the floor boards of the stable where the horse that David brought for Nikki was at!.
