She is putting it on for her new role, that's what actors & actresses sometimes have to do, to fit to the likeness of how their character would talk, after all most of the actors/actresses on Hollyoaks are from Manchester and have the accent!. She is just acting out a Manchester accent, her children in Hollyoaks have the same accent, so she needs to fit that too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i'm only guessing here, as i live in the u!.s!. and we don't have those shows here, but if she has a different accent one show than another, i would call that acting!. maybe she's portraying her character as being from another region or country, etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Emmerdale is set in Yorkshire, Hollyoaks is set in Chester!. Different accents for different parts of the country!. I don`t think either is her real one though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I dont know what here real accent is sorry!. She may have had speech leassons which can help her to change her accent but she may have just changed it on her own!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
