I was once a ST TNG fan!. I remember rushing home from work to see the premier back around 1987!.
I have a really hard time liking the show now because of the presence of Whoopi Goldberg!.
In recent years I have come to know Whoopi Goldberg as an ugly political Wh**e!.
I just can't dig the show anymore!. It's always a distraction!.
I am wondering, has anybody else experienced feelings like this!?

I don't mind Whoopi Goldberg's presense; I find her performance to be good enough that I forget anything she's said, though my feelings aren't as negative as yours!. Lucky for you, she isn't in very many episodes!.
I do understand an actor ruining a character though, as I have a really hard time watching Data!. I find Brent Spiner annoying, smug, and grating, so that takes some of the enjoyment out of the show!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not me!. Whoopi Goldberg's character on ST:TNG is actually pretty cool!. I just decided to put aside the politics of the actress and just enjoy the character!.
That's actually a pretty good idea for just about any show!. If you take the cast of just about any show you like and scrutinize the poltics/personal beliefs/moral stances of the cast closely enough, chances are you're going to find something you don't agree with!. (Probably even among TNG cast members other than Ms!. Goldberg!.) And if you're going to use that as a "litmus test" for whether you're going to enjoy a particular show, you will have a very difficult time enjoying watching TV!.
For the record, I don't care much for Whoopi Goldberg's politics, either!. But I still like watching Guinan on ST:TNG reruns!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I kinda agree with some of what you wrote!.
It's like trying to watch James Bond with Denise Richards, Terri Hatcher or Halle Berry!. They don't fit, and they were obviously horribly miscast for those roles!.
