Since 2005, it has to be either Martha or Donna!. I also like Sarah Jane, but I don’t consider her a companion for the “new” Doctor Who!.
Donna was great!. I had tears in my eyes at the end of series 4!. She was clever and fun to watch!. And very different from Rose and Martha!.
Martha was just fantastic!. I don’t think I will ever enjoy anyone more than Martha!. She was clever, fun to watch, and more than capable of handling herself under pressure while traveling with the Doctor!. I wish they could have kept bother her and Donna around a bit longer!. Rumors say Martha is joining Torchwood and I hope that’s true because I’m not ready to say goodbye to Martha yet!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Billie Piper! She is the ultimate companion her level of depths are so pleasing to watch, she can have fun with the doctor, love the doctor and cry with the doctor!. She has been a part in every series:
Series 1 & 2 she was in it
Series 3 the doctor was still sad of losing rose
Series 4 he finally got reunited with her!.
also she is strong as a character, martha was really weak no supirse she was booted off after 1 series but they eased her out but letting her have little appearences here and they after, donna was funny and her conflicts with the doctor were classic but Billie (Rose) is the one who wins it for me!Www@Enter-QA@Com

She got him to loosen up a bit, and prepared him to have other companions, effectively paving the way for his connections to Martha and Donna and Astrid and perhaps even Jack!. Without her, that anger burning within him might have consumed him - she helped him learn to temper it, and now you only see flares!. Anyway, it's pretty clear who his favorite is!. My favorite Doctor Who Companion was definitely Martha Jones and the reason why I like her is because she was one of the only companions that the Doctor had, who could actually understand him in a science related way!.
