NEWSFLASH!.!.!. Noah Newman has got a new person to play his role!.!. Kevin Schmidt!.!.!. he's 20 and as most of you know noah left for summer camp as a 12 year old kid and comes back as a young adult!.!. see how soap operas are unreal what do you think!.!. should they have kept him as a boy or are they doing the right thing and growing him up a little!. I just heard about this, and it really bugs me!. Maybe if they bring him back as a 15 or even 16 year old I can deal with it!. But if they bring him back, and he's 20, I'll be a bit angry!. Soon he'll be hanging around with Cassie's friends!. Doesn't that make sense!? (Not)

The rapid aging does get to me at times!.!.!.!.but face it, in order for the storylines to move on, years MUST pass by!. If the years were in real time, we (the audience) would become very bored!. With rapid aging new people can get introduced on the show making it an interesting, and entertaining piece of work!. Y & R as been on for more than thirty years and it is one of the most realistic soaps around! Even despite some of the dull story lines of recent years, it still is my favorite soap!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It's kind of weird that they made Noah so much older, that means that Nick and Sharon had to be together almost 20 years !. Sharon's character is only supposed to be 30 years old (born in 1978)!.
To be 17, Noah would have had to been born in 1991, but Nick and Sharon weren't even married then and Nick's original birthdate was supposed to be 1988 (making him 3 years old when he conceived his son)

You are so right, but isn't it funny that the kids are the only ones who age and not the parents!. Nick and Sharon look the same way now as they did when they had Noah!. And look at Victor he never ages and Neil looks the same now as when Lily was a baby!. The way they do it brings you back to earth reminding you it's just a show so it's really hard to care about the characters!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Y&R are the masters of SORASing!. I remember when Victoria and Nick were born and they are my age now!. It's crazy!. ATWT also loves to age a character!. Sometime I can see it's important for storyline purposes, but then again!.!.!.when the kids are the same age as the parents its crazy!.

I don't like it and I think it's STUPID! I hate when the soaps do that!. It makes it hard for people like me to keep up with them, (because I'm an on again off again watcher) when characters like JR, (All my children, all the sudden is helping his dad run the business)!. I guess it a way for them to keep plot lines moving and introduce old characters in the new way!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I'm 20, and still remember the birth of Noah, lol!. I actually remember the birth of most of the people on soaps playing people my age!. Rapid aging is weird, but the young adults can have better story lines vs!. children!. Kids on soaps are just like props!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
