Was archie bunker a bad guy?!

Question: Was archie bunker a bad guy!?
Answers:
in some ways but overall he was a hard working guy that loved and supported his family, being ignorant doesn't make you bad, after all he did stand up too the kkkWww@Enter-QA@Com

He wasn't a great guy!.
Just a stereotypical man of his time!.
"He was a reactionary, bigoted, blue-collar worker and family man!."
"The inspiration for Archie Bunker was Alf Garnett, the character from the BBC sitcom Till Death Us Do Part, on which All in the Family was based!. Archie, in turn, was an inspiration for Eric Cartman of South Park!."
"During the series' run, it would be revealed that, while he did disagree with his son-in-law's political views, much of his resentment stemmed from the fact that Mike was attending college and would be able to chart his own successful future, while Archie was forced to drop out of high school during the Depression to help support his family!." also, "he was a poor kid who was teased in school for coming to class wearing one shoe and one boot, since his family could not afford to buy him new footwear!."
"It should also be noted that as the years went on, Archie grew more accepting of people different from himself, albeit partially out of necessity!."
I don't think he was a terrible man!. Nor that he was a bad guy!.!.!.He was conditioned to be the way he was by how he was brought up and when he was brought up!.
:)

Heck no!. He was a biggot that didn't like his son-in-law, but he loved his wife and daughter, even though he seemed annoyed with them at times!. Carrol O'Conner played Archie beautifully!. He showed just how dumb racism could be and touched upon many issues that people were scared to bring out into the open when it came to people, family, and relationships!. It poked fun at the biggots and haters while making you laugh in the process!. That's one of the biggest reasons All In the Family was so successful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think Archie was one of the more transparent members of his generation!. He was a bigot!. Bad!. But you know he is a bigot and he always had egg on his face for it!. A buffoon!. And he was all talk!. And he wasn't alone!. He and George Jefferson were flipsides of the same coin!.

On the other hand, he loved his family (even Meathead got to stay in the house), devoted friend, good provider, a blue collar guy who struggled through most of his existence knowing things wouldn't be much better for him!.!.!.but he did it anyway!. A good man!. I liked the episodes of the show where Edith had breast cancer, and when Joey the grandson was born!. This showed him as a good man!.

Archie is like most folks of any generation!. A human being with both love and hate in his heart, bumbling through!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
